The High Priestess Tarot Card Pint Glass

$35.00

This can-shaped pint glass features an etching of The High Priestess, the second Major Arcana card in traditional Tarot decks. The High Priestess has a lunar crescent at her feet and wears a horned diadem on her head with a globe in the middle and a solar cross on her chest. She sits in front of a veil decorated with pomegranates, a symbol of Persephone, who was forced to spend half of every year in the underworld after eating a pomegranate seed. On either side of the priestess are black and white pillars representing the knowledge of duality (darkness and lightness, masculine and feminine, material and spiritual) required to enter the sacred temple. The "B" stands for Boaz: negation and severity. The "J" stands for Jachin: beginning and mercy. In her lap is a scroll that is inscribed with the letters TORA, standing either for the Jewish Torah or an anagram of Tarot (the word is partially obscured by her robe to signify that some things are implied and some spoken).

• Meaning: Mystery, intuition, the divine feminine, spiritual insight, the subconscious mind

• Element: Water

• Ruling planet: Moon

Each glass is individually sandcarved in our studio, using compressed air and abrasive to actually carve away the glass for a stunning three-dimensional image that you can actually feel with your fingertip (you can read more about the sandcarving process on our “About” page). These glasses are made to last a lifetime, and the sandcarved image is completely permanent and dishwasher safe.

Each glass is handcrafted to order, so please allow 1 to 2 weeks of production time as we create one just for you. Please note that our stencils are designed after antique tarot cards that are more than 100 years old, age marks and printing flaws included. As with all handcrafted items, while our listing photos are a good representation of the design you are ordering, you can expect minor distinctions in the pint glass you receive, making it truly one of a kind.
